This page provides information on how to become a member of the Castle Studies Group. Although our membership includes some of the best-known researchers and authors in the discipline, you don’t have to be an expert to join. Our membership is made up of all types of castle enthusiasts, from hobbyists to serious scholars, all sharing a common interest in the architecture, archaeology and history of the medieval period.

The membership fee includes a copy of the annual CSG Journal published in December/January each year, and the occasional Bibliography, edited by Dr. Gillian Scott, together with a regular news Bulletin edited by Therron Welstead.

Membership is from January to December. Those who join partway through the year will receive the current year’s Journal
