CSG Membership -  Join Us

This page provides information on how to become a member of the Castle Studies Group. Although our membership includes some of the best-known researchers and authors in the discipline, you don't have to be an expert to join. Our membership is made up of all types of castle enthusiasts, from hobbyists to serious scholars, all sharing a common interest in the architecture, archaeology and history of the medieval period. The membership fee includes a copy of the annual CSG Journal published in December/January each year, and the occasional Bibliography, edited by Dr. Gillian Scott, together with a regular news Bulletin edited by Therron Welstead. The current membership rates are:

Single UK member - £35 per annum

Two UK members/same address - £40 per annum [One mailing]

Eire / mainland Europe /  £41 (€ 46) per annum.

UK Student - £23 per annum;  Intl Student - £28 per annum            

International membership (USA/Canada /Australia etc) - £45 per annum

Membership is from Jan. to December. Those who join partway through the year will receive the current year’s Journal

International payments may be made using the Internet and your credit card at PayPal which is to be found at www.paypal.com - once there, click on ‘Send Money’ and then follow the on-screen instructions. You will be asked to enter an email address; you should use: Membership@castlestudiesgroup.org.uk.

You will need to calculate the local currency equivalent of either £28 (student) or £41 GBP (Eu) and then add the fee charged to CSG for use of the facility which is set out below:

Within the UK 3.4% + £0.20 GBP   - Outside the UK 3.9% + £0.20 GBP These figures include the additional cross-border fee.
